Atty Gen. Eric Holder, CBC, IRS, ACLU Conspire With Black Religious Leaders To Re-Elect Barack Obama

In a bold move, U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder is taking Barack Obama’s campaign messages to the streets in September, specifically to several hundred Back church leaders (members of the Conference of National Black Churches) who represent about 10 million congregants. Holder is heading up a team, including the IRS, the Congressional Black Caucus, and attorneys from the ACLU, which will meet with a group of Black pastors to essentially tell them how to participate in the the November 2012 election without jeopardizing their 501(c)(3) tax exemption status–code for how to tell your congregants how to vote for Barack Obama without getting into tax trouble. It’s little more than a quid pro quo–Black church leaders urge their congregants to vote for Obama in exchange for specific instructions on how to walk the fine line of the U.S. tax code.

Of course, the participants are cloaking the real reason for the meeting, with distracting discussion (which are actually real issues), such as voter disenfranchisement via voter ID laws. We understand that these are real issues, but the question is why can these “leaders” decide to gather on such a grand scale for the purpose of re-electing Barack Obama, yet they don’t convene on such a scale for issues such as Black unemployment, gun violence, and poverty in the community?
